While he often chooses to keep his hand played close to his overcoat-vest, a lifetime spurred by battle has imbued Shindo with a kickstart-impulsive nature - which often leads him to make bold decisions, demonstrating a fierce determination in the face of any level of adversity. A skilled strategist encased in an expressionless faceplate, he cleverly navigates through both physical and mental challenges, using his wits and blades in tandem.

Quick to anger when confronted with injustice or threats to his lands or his allies, Shindo can just as easily be calmed by the wisdom and support of those who know him best. Underneath a literally faceless exterior is a man who values the well-being of his people above all else, which often softens his heart when their needs are at stake.

In more recent times of peace, he demonstrates a more relaxed and amiable side. But when a hint of true danger arises, Shindo's impulsive and aggressive nature resurfaces, driving him to take decisive action — leading his charges with infallible bravery and unwavering determination.

ㅤarmor.ㅤ His armor was of his own design, with an alloy of Truesteel for quality and Truesilver for their Lightwielding properties. During a pivotal moment in battle, Tali'riel and Shindo bonded - and she bequeathed to him her very garb, effectively making it soulbound like the blade he wields. The properties of the armor didn't change, but the visage of it did, turning from white to black and gilded with gold - complete with an overcoat that repairs itself overtime. It is as resilient as his spirit.

ㅤhelmet.ㅤ Shindo's entire head is consistently enclosed in a self-smithed, silhouetting helmet, adorned with grand plumage from elven hawkstriders and varying Azerothian avians. This bascinet's faceplate hides all visible expression, so he relies on vocal tone and body language to express himself.

There have been several reasons for Shindo to never remove his helmet — the most frequent given is due to his belief that the helmet, not who wears it, is Shindo Malphur. Wearing it encourages the destruction of his personal self, replaced with the belief that the faceplate itself is a perpetual icon of justice.

tali'riel.

ㅤthe true path.ㅤ Tali'riel is Shindo's Spirit of Battle. After years of battle for himself and even longer for the elven blades he wielded, the Spirit formed and took shape as Shindo did. She is a reflection of him and his ideals as a Knight.

She carries his scars, his experience, and accompanies him on the Path he walks. Going as far as helping him quell the Storm within his soul, effectively making them a Soulbound weapon.

in its form of Shindo's weapon of choice - a two-handed greatsword - it's also able to assume forms of other weaponry as situations warrant. Curved for a brutal wide swing, it usually assumes the form of a more traditional double-edged sword. Keen and flawless is its edge, and the face and hilt show intricate markings and coloration - etched and embedded with several sapphire-hued gemstones.

ㅤbiographyㅤ As a general rule, Shindo's history is murky at best and hand-waved as irrelevant when questioned by all but his closest allies. Most often at home in the thick of battle with chain and blade in hand, he leads the charge with taloned gauntlets and flashing, morale-raising maneuvers.

Notably known and alluded to often is the Sky-Knight's affiliation with avians of all kinds, whether native to Azeroth or beyond its borders. In service to defend Draenor, Shindo was separated from his Chapter - but he took great pains to stay and defend a village of Arakkoa from varying threats to its livelihood. In return, he earned the favor of the greatest of all Arakkoan kings, Terokk. He carries several items on his person relating to their granted boons. When he's not in an active fight or in his forge, it's customary to see him tend to his flocks in one of Owlhearth's countless aviaries.

While knighted under the Silver Hand and seasoned through decades of victorious combat, Shindo's skills with the forge and hammer are equally widespread and championed in his position as Forgemaster for the Foundry-housed Malphur Works, as well as lordship over the lands of Owlhearth. These lands include the trade city Morku, the Frostwolf-established territory of Borof'tok, and the Foundry, where he allocates efforts with Alterac's finest craftsmen smithing new weapons and other trade goods.

Over time his lands have only grown in scope and political weight, with dual Foundries [one in Morku and one closer to Stormwind] acting as an anchor both in supply and demand for the metallurgy needs of much of Alterac and the surrounding Eastern Kingdoms.

ㅤcombat historyㅤ Shindo has faithfully carried out duties in the Alliance's name against both the Horde and its mutual antagonists. If he could swing a sword in defense of or forge a weapon for an ally, he's likely been there. His vaunted service record includes:

Observable incandescent waves will often roll over Shindo's armor.
This is the Arc Light: the manifestation of the Knight's own confluence with the Holy Light.
In his journey into smithing Thunderforged metals, a mishap occurred — a rogue lightning bolt crashed down on Shindo, rather than his work as was intended. Through providence, the Light intervened to save him — suffusing him with crackling energy and manifesting as the Arc Light. It grants Shindo different abilities, depending on the incarnate color.

citrine

Shindo's preferred Arc Light shade. It enhances his speed, agility and reaction time.

He uses this Arc to better react to what he sees on his Path when he looks ahead, dodging what should be fatal wounds or altering his route by going a different way if doom lies on the established one.

crimson

Blood red Arc Light crackles over his armor and weapons.

Red grants enhanced strength while also increasing his frustration and bloodlust. He is unsure why.

pale

Only channeled into his hands, Shindo's Pale Arc is a white crackling energy that manifests while a target is in his grasp. He forces them to look back on their own Path.

For each life this target has taken from the world - for each life they altered negatively because of the Path they walked - the target is seared. Shindo calls this the Grasp of Penance, and it has a body count.

dusk

Black bolts of Arc Light crackle over only his weapons. The dusk arc light bites at Dark Magic of any kind, trying to cleanse and nullify the offending magics. Perfect for hunting witches.
